How To Vote
Election day is Wednesday 16th May. Candidates will be declared by 11th April.
Register to vote
In order to vote you must register your name at your Parish Hall by 9th April. You can collect a registration form from your Parish Hall or print one off from www.vote.je or alternatively you can register on-line here
REGISTER TO VOTE
If you don't return your registration form before that date, you can apply to be included on the Suplementary Register. This means that you will not be able to pre-poll or postal vote, but you will be able to vote at the polling station on election day. Your name will be added to the main electoral register after the election.
Vote on the day
Election day is Wednesday 16th May 2018. Polling stations will be open between 8am and 8pm. You must bring photographic ID.
You will be able to cast your vote before Election Day, if you would prefer, by attending St Paul's Centre in New Street, St Helier, between 8:30am to 5pm during week days from Monday 30th April to Monday 14th May.
Weekend pre-poll stations will be located at Trinity Youth Centre from 10am - 1pm on Saturday 5th May 2018 and Communicare, St Brelade from 10am - 1pm on Saturday 12 May 2018.
If you are ill or disabled (or are a carer for somebody who is) or have difficulty reading or writing, and you know you will not be able to go to your polling station to vote on election day, then you can arrange to vote in advance by arranging a home visit. To arrange a pre-poll home visit, telephone your Parish Hall or contact Reform Jersey or complete the application form available on www.vote.je.
If you will be out of the island during the election, but wish to vote by post, you can apply for a Postal Vote by filling out the application form which can be found at your Parish Hall or online at www.vote.je.
